ICYMI, in November, I rebranded from Michelle Marie Studio to Saela Studio!

This rebrand was LONG overdue. I started this design business in 2017 as a side hustle that went full time in 2019. There have been so many iterations of my brand design. Eventually in 2020, I hired one of my good friends and designers to design the MMS brand and I absolutely loved it. In fact, it was a big reason that I held off on changing my business name because it meant saying goodbye to my logos.

Fast forward a couple of years to 2023 – a very transformative year for me. I had just dealt with a miscarriage, 2 family members passing and then we moved across the country to a state we had never even visited. We then had our first son at the end of the year! Going through all of that made me realize the importance of slow living, not only for your nervous system but because life is precious and every moment matters.

As I started approaching 18 months postpartum, I knew it was finally time to search for a new business name – something that felt more aligned with my lifestyle. I wanted to find a name that had some sort of tie to Minnesota, where we moved to in 2023 and currently live. Even though, we likely won’t be here forever, I wanted to honor this place that means so much to us.

I came across the nordic name – Sæla and it felt kismet.

Studio Sæla is where clarity, intention, and transformation meet. Inspired by the Old Norse word sæla — meaning bliss, happiness, and fulfillment — we craft design that brings your brand into alignment with who you are becoming. Each element is thoughtful, soulful, and intentional, creating a space for your vision to shine and flourish.

This rebrand feels like me and it’s something I’m really proud of! It has given me more confidence to just show up and serve my audience and clients well.
